It is your responsibility to protect university resources and data by ensuring that you use software in compliance with relevant university policies and standards, and store and process all sensitive data within approved systems. In that event, licenses can be purchased online from GraphPad. There is a limited license pool from the ITS Software Store, and once those licenses have been given out, there will be no more until the following license year. Licenses for university-owned computers not covered under UmichITAM, and also personally-owned computers, can be purchased from the ITS Software Store using a Shortcode. For personally-owned computers of UmichITAM members, licenses can be purchased from the ITS Software Store using a Shortcode. Faculty, staff, sponsored affiliates, and students can obtain licenses for university-owned computers in UmichITAM by requesting from their unit IT support. In order to ensure the best available compatibility of Prism with Mac OS Catalina, please update to the most recent version of Prism 8. Once you've updated, Prism 8 will be able to open any files that were created using Prism 6 (or any earlier version of Prism).The UmichITAM software-sharing consortium maintains a group license for its members (contact for information about joining UmichITAM). Note that these older applications will continue to function on Mac OS Mojave (10.14) and earlier operating systems. Because of Apple's decision to no longer support 32-bit applications, it will not be possible to use these versions of Prism on Mac OS Catalina. Prism 6 and earlier versions Prism 6 for Mac and earlier versions are 32-bit applications, and WILL NOT WORK ON MAC OS CATALINA. Once you've updated, Prism 8 will be able to open any files that were created using Prism 7. Please update to the most recent version of Prism 8. While Prism 7.0e works under Catalina, we have not extensively tested it. If you have a license to an earlier 7.0 release, please update to 7.0e (free). However, early versions of Prism 8 will lack some important updates and bug fixes associated with Mac OS Catalina. Prism 8 for Mac is a 64-bit application, and will work on Mac OS Catalina. The Windows and Mac versions of Prism are very similar, so youll be fine no matter which you buy.
